Yet to be seen,

Joy, fear, beauty, suffering, cruelty, 
—Phylogenetic forces
Rooted in entropy’s temporary defeat. 
The drive to survive. 
Emergence of the self! Then of others! 
The universe freed!
Then enslaved!
