When William Blake wrote, “As a man is, So he Sees” in 1799, he was responding to a criticism of his work. Leaning into this insightful observation, he wrote the equally magnificent declaration, “Some Scarce see Nature at all. But to the Eyes of the Man of Imagination, Nature is Imagination itself.”
